Hi! Welcome to my blog(: Let me tell you a little about myself.

My name is Alexandra Diaz, but my parents gave me the nickname ‘Ali’ at birth, so that’s what I’ve always been called. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, and it’s the only place I’ve ever lived. I grew up a very curious and entertaining, yet aggressive and stubborn kid. I was always the star of our home movies and loved the attention of being in front of the camera; my parents would say that I was mean, I say I was passionate.

But I was raised well by my parents. At least one of them was always around to look after us and make sure we were alright. We weren’t rich, but my parents always made sure my brother and I had everything we ever needed and wanted. And for that I’m forever grateful.

And since people always ask, I guess I’ll throw my ethnicity in here. I’m asian and hispanic. Lao and Cuban to be exact(:

Other things about me:

♫ I love photography. I get that from my dad, who used to be a photographer. So I’ve learned a lot of the basics from him when I was little and taught myself more as I got older. And now, owning my own digital SLR camera is super awesome. Whether I’m outdoors shooting my next adventure or doing my own self portraits, I love capturing my point of view of things through my camera lens.

♫ I’ve always had a fascination with dreams. I’m basically obsessed with dreams. The dream world is so unpredictable and you never know what you’ll dream when you fall asleep. Since I usually dream lucidly and can usually remember my dreams when I wake up, I almost always write them down in detail right away to keep forever and look back on, or to make a blog post or short story about it, some of which you can find on this blog(:

♫ I’m basically an adrenaline junkie. Odds are if something is a little crazy or a little dangerous, I want to be a part of it. It’s exhilarating, fun, and refreshing for me to do something wild from time to time. Crazy mosh pits, let’s do it! Crowd surfing, why not! Skydiving, let’s go! Bomb a big ass hill on my pennyboard, I’m down!

♫ Family is a big deal to me. Family is everything and I’m very fortunate to have the family that I have. Even though we like to annoy the fuck out of each other and piss each other off on a daily basis on purpose, and we take things waaaay too far; and yeah, sometimes I can’t stand them as human beings; we know we’re always there for each other at the end of the day.

♫ I love fashion and clothing but I’m not girly at all. You’ll almost never catch me in a dress. I’m definitely more of a shorts and tshirt kind of girl. Most of the time I feel like I look like a little boy to be honest. But that’s just who I am and what I’m most comfortable in.
