Yesterday I went to the Vans Warped Tour here in Vegas, which I’ve been looking forward to for months, and it was pretty awesome! It’s always awesome. And it seems to get bigger and bigger every year. I had a really good time and I love getting to see bands play live, and buying merch, and just being in that atmosphere.
In case you don’t know, the Vans Warped Tour is an all day, outdoor, traveling music festival that originally showcased punk rock music but now features diverse genres of over 100 well known and rising bands. There’s at least seven different stages set up throughout the venue and each band gets 30 minutes set time and bigger bands get 40. There’s also booths set up everywhere, almost like a flea market kind of thing, where there’s band merch tents, record labels, clothing lines, etc, where people can browse and buy things, and maybe meet and talk to their favorite bands at their tents. It’s a pretty good time(:
But being an all day outdoor festival, and being in Vegas… the weather was killer. 115 degree temperatures wtf. Thank goodness for shade tents and water misters. Even then, everybody was a burning sweaty mess. But it’s Warped Tour, being a sweaty gremlin is just part of it.
I didn’t take a lot of photos at all, so I don’t have much to share with you guys. I wanted to, but I was really just in the moment enjoying the music so taking photos wasn’t the first thing on my mind.
I did, however, get a few photos of the guys from a Japanese band called Crossfaith. I didn’t really know anything about them nor have I ever even heard of them, but man they were so good! I really enjoyed watching them. I would say their sound is like, electronic metalcore I suppose.

My favorite set of the day was definitely from Crown The Empire. They played really well and I had a lot of fun watching them. They’ve gotten pretty popular pretty fast, and they put on a really good show! So if anyone is going any Warped Tour date, Crown The Empire is definitely worth checking out(:
After CTE’s set, I went to their signing at their merch tent and got my CTE vest that I had gotten earlier, signed by all of the members. Which was awesome(: They were all super nice and friendly and just seemed like really cool and happy guys. I’m glad I got to meet them and see them play.
Overall, Warped Tour was a great experience. As always. And I can’t wait for next year!(:
Just remember, if you’re going to Warped, stay hydrated and drink lots of water throughout the day. Even if you’re not thirsty. You need it.
Have fun and take care of yourself at Warped you guys!
