This year my family and I decided to go to Santa Monica for our first trip of 2013. We stayed in Santa Monica, just a mile away from the pier, and it was amazing! The weather was perfect. EVERYTHING was perfect, and I loved every second of being there. But even though we stayed in Santa Monica, we did go to a lot of other places around town too.

The first day when we arrived, we went to our room, dropped off our bags, and went to the Santa Monica Pier. We were there all day. We walked the pier, the beach, and just hung out and watched the sunset.
The next day we went to the Third Street Promenade a little before noon, walked around and ate pizza at a pizza shop called Stefano’s Pizzeria. (Which was delish btw.) Then after that we headed over to The Grove in Los Angeles, and then went back to Pacific Park at the Santa Monica Pier to ride some rides.
The next day we went to Hollywood, which was pretty awesome. We went down the Hollywood Walk of Fame and I found Big Bird’s star x), went to my favorite record store Amoeba Records, and went to see the Hollywood sign.
Our last day, we visited Beverly Hills, saw the most beautiful freaking car in the world on Rodeo Drive, and went back to Santa Monica Beach for the last couple of hours.

Overall, my trip was awesome! I hung out at the beach A LOT and got to see parts of California that I’ve never really adventured in before. It was a cool experience to be in the middle of Hollywood and do touristy things. I can’t wait to go back and have more adventures(:
